The Scandent series comprises sculptural works that grow around interior architecture. Vines of forged steel with hand sculpted glass flowers and pods wind their way around walls. As site specific, customizable installations, these sculptural works are a contrast between their inherent organic nature and the existing architecture of the existing architecture of the spaces that inhabit. Lyons has always drawn inspiration from the natural world and embedded in this work is her belief in ecological worship.
